    • Complete description

      Vintage Description:

Bright light gold with fine, persistent mousse. Fragrant, clear nose of freshly baked bread, some flint, citrus, distantly reminiscent of red berries and white flowers, elegant and inviting. Creamy palate, compact, bright and expressive, with well-integrated mousse, racy drive and salty undertone, lingers long and clean, dry. (O.Kiem, S.Staffler - Falstaff, 16.10.2023)

      wine title:

      Callago Bella Goccia

      wine description:

Born in 1978 as Pinot di Franciacorta Dosage Zéro N.V., in 1991 its name was changed to Franciacorta Vintage Dosage Zéro. Since the 2008 vintage, Calago has decided to reinterpret Dosage Zéro, Satèn and Brut, and to give them a distinctive appellation as well: "Bella Goccia". An elegant narrative of our extraordinary territory and of man’s ability to bring out the vines’ inherent potential.

      Ertrag:

8,300 kg of grapes per hectare, equivalent to 3,570 litres of wine (must-to-fruit ratio 43% as only the free-running must is allowed to be used).

      Ernte:

      Grape-picking began on August 13th.

      Vinification:

The grapes were gently pressed and the clarified musts fermented in small barrels with selected yeasts. After a short 7 months aging in tank and barrel, these dry base wines were blended, refined with a dosage (Liqueur de Tirage, a mixture of yeast & sugar), botteled and sealed with a crown cap.

      Ageing:

After re-fermentation in the bottle, matured on the lees for about 48 months. Corked after disgorgement without adding any dosage.

      Abfüllung:

The dégorgement takes place in the absence of oxygen, a unique system designed and patented by Ca 'del Bosco. This avoids the addition of sulphites, making the Franciacortas purer and longer-lived. Total sulfur less than 51 mg/l (legal limit: 185 mg/l

      Zertifiziertes biologisches Produkt

      Bio:
